How To Change The Way You Think About Your Practice

attitude Apr 30, 2021

There's a saying that goes "To get things you never had, you must do things you've never done." And that is something we dentistry women need to keep in mind. If we want to get different results, we have to do things differently. But one thing most of us forget is the importance of our mindset. If you aren't in the right mindset, no matter what new things you do, you'll end up hating whatever results occur.

Today we'll be talking about how to change your mindset to attract the success you want.

With social media, it's easy to be in comparison mode. You might follow other dentistry women and feel motivated by what they share, but keep in mind that people tend to only share the good things on social media There are certainly days and times where they may be having a less than ideal day, just like you and me, but they might not necessarily share that.

The good news is that if you see that it's been done before, it's probably possible. What I mean by that is if you see one of your dental influencers doing something you want to do, you see that it truly is possible. They've done it. And so can you. You might not take the exact same route, but you very possibly might be able to achieve the same or even better results.

In order to be successful though, you've GOT to have the right mindset. Are you showing up to work in a "UGH" mindset? The "UGH" following your thoughts on your patients or perhaps your team? How can you expect happiness when you've already flooded your mind with negativity?

So here's what you've got to do- change your actions. You can't change others, but you can change yourself. Think more positively! Think about what is GOOD about your day and practice. Your negative thoughts can easily be passed along to your team. If you've been feeling pretty "UGH" lately, are you showing up with the infectious "UGH" vibes?

Once you learn how to think more positive about yourself and your practice, you'll be able to clearly see what things could use some sprucing up. Your team will feel the motivation and positivity, and you'll be able to tell what needs your attention. Acting in a good state of mind over a bad one will make a world of a difference on WHAT you tackle first and HOW you tackle it.
